In 2023, Nelson Bay Netball Association launched our new representative logo and attire. This development was a meticulous and thoughtful process, ensuring that every element fits together perfectly.
Our goal was to create a uniform that not only embodies the spirit and pride of our local community but also pays homage to the traditional owners of our land, the Worimi people.
The new logo and attire reflect our commitment to inclusivity, respect, and excellence, symbolizing the unity and strength of our Representative teams.
Each design element has been carefully selected to honor our heritage and inspire our players to strive for greatness on and off the court.

The new logo is rich with symbolism. The middle U shapes represent the opponents on the team, signifying the competitive spirit and the respect we hold for every challenger. Surrounding these are rings of circles, which symbolize the waterways of Port Stephens, reflecting our deep connection to the natural beauty and heritage of our region. These elements together represent unity, strength, and the continuous flow of progress and teamwork.

Surrounding these are dots that symbolize the marine life of our oceans, reflecting our deep connection to the natural beauty and heritage of Port Stephens. These elements together illustrate our respect for nature and the strong bonds within our team.

The lines extending from the sides complete the meeting area site, signifying how netball brings the community together. These elements collectively illustrate our respect for nature, the strong bonds within our team, and the unifying power of sport.

This collaborative effort involved association members, Scarlett Lui and Zahli Read working with Indigenous artist Hayley Cruickshank from Nangamay Designs, ensuring that the design authentically represented our community and cultural heritage. Hayley's artistic vision and expertise were instrumental in bringing this logo to life, creating a meaningful and visually striking emblem for our program.

"Sport has a unique power to bring people together, transcending boundaries and creating lasting relationships. It fosters a sense of community, teaches teamwork and resilience, and unites individuals from diverse backgrounds in a shared passion. Through sport, we build connections, celebrate collective achievements, and grow stronger together."
